Off the Mat — Reflection

This summer has been full—long stretches of heat, sudden thunderstorms, and everything in between. The green around us feels brighter than ever, and I want to savor every moment in the Summer Sun.

Even with all the busyness, we’ve still managed to come together to practice—online, in the studio, or squeezing in a class between summer plans. Those moments always remind me that no matter how full life gets, we can still find space to pause and breathe, and we need to.

As we move into August, I think of Sarvangasana—the Queen of Asanas. There’s this still point when you’re in it, fully supported and steady. And when you come out, sometimes there’s a release—a laugh, a few tears, or just a big exhale.

That’s exactly what I hope to create for you in next week’s Release: An Embodied Practice retreat: a place to set down the pace of summer and let your body and mind catch up with each other.

I’m offering half-day options for those who can’t join for the full experience: If you would like to attend a partial day please respond to me directly and I can add you to the schedule.

Morning Session (9:00 AM – 2:30 PM) – $152 Chi Gung, Iyengar Yoga, lunch, and time to rest or enjoy the outdoors.

Afternoon Session (2:30 PM – 9:00 PM) – $197 Restorative yoga, guided meditation, a hands-on pottery project, with dinner and campfire shared with community.

Thanks for showing up this summer—whether it’s been every week or whenever you could squeeze it in. I’m looking forward to slowing down together next week and connecting as a community.

Namaste, Tiffany

At-Home Wellbeing — Practice / Recipe

Sarvangasana- The Queen of Asana

Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand) is one of the most complete poses we can do. It balances hormones, improves circulation, calms the nervous system, and clears the mind.

We often support this pose to make it safe and accessible for everyone:

Setu Bandha Sarvangasana: A brick or bolster under your sacrum to gently lift and open the chest.

Chair Sarvangasana: Shoulders and arms resting, spine supported, brain quiet—perfect for deep release.
